If you want to draft , use 8 packs of 8 cards 1 / 1 glimpse draft with this card list: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d

Then play bo3 over 3 random scenarios from Normandy.

I strongly suggest using the new default vision rules from "Deterministically Undaunted": gist.github.com/cognivore/e59b

If you have any questions about diceless version of Undaunted or drafting, feel free to reach out, I'll be very happy to talk about this rule set.

It very quickly became my favorite thing to play over the board and it seems like even after a lot of games, I'm still finding cool tactics and cool new interactions. Infinite replayability.

P.S.

I think it was very cool of my opponent to play out the card to show me that my play has actually won, instead of just scooping.

While losing to mill, on the last turn before they milled me out, out of desperation, I Karned for a Pithing Needle and named some Jace at random I didn't even know existed...

...and bricked their play, proceeded to attack for lethal.

Honestly, moments like these is why I play this game.

Holy shit, is so much worse if you listen to it as an adult.

It's just like... Low skill of music and vocals. My friend Nikolajs literally sings better.

Did I write the storngest solver in team and seeded some solutions in day 1? So far, it looks like it.

This is my absolute best

@timClicks or alternatively icfpcontest.com/specification_

Btw, we're fighting for 1st place. If you want to, you can join. The problem is really easy, the spec is short so we just need more solvers and shakers to improve / replace our best solves.

Wowee, I'm glad I didn't go to sleep. Discovered a particular type of problems for which my solver is the best team-wide. Marginally, but still.

Now it's good night for sure!

This year I wrote 2 solvers already and contributed some meaningful stuff. Both after day 1 and day 2 at least 4 of my solutions are topping team-wide scoresheets. Feel proud of myself!

Holy shit, 6th place as it stands. Should really run to sleep! Hot day ahead.

Hypothesis: The Fediverse consists almost entirely of adults.

I expect most youths are drawn to the large corporate social networks; but those of us who took the effort to come here have likely experienced the Internet before most of those existed.

Of course, the only way to test this is by collecting data using the most scientifically rigorous method available to me: a Mastodon poll, lol

(I expect this will only reach English-speaking Fedi, but do boost if you're able)

⬇️ What is your age? ⬇️

Calling it a day. Currently beating feels good, but they must be waking up now over there in Japan.

I'm very happy with my performance at so far. After the first day, my solver has found four solutions that are best team-wide!
