@groovestomp we could sign up for this: https://junior-rally-championship.fandom.com/wiki/RBR_Season_1 especially if we find a +1 to compete as a team :D
I think it's literally a sign to get into rallying, especially since this stuff has word "Junior" in it... and it's a literal first season ever.
@groovestomp also they give whole two weeks to complete a rally, but once one start a leg one must finish it:
@jonn If you don't mind coming in dead last, I'd be down.
I need to read through it to make sure it works for me, but sounds good so far!
+0 with shut down at 23:00 - that's 15:00 my time. When do you prefer to race at? I have a decent amount of flexibility, especially during the week.
I guess for that junior rally season we don't have to synchronize for it though, hey?
@groovestomp we don't need to sync for JRC, but I'd prefer to share pace notes and feeling about the stages (he answered immediately, at 2:14 AM, having a great schedule).
I also have a decent flexibility, but reasonable default is any time between 5PM UTC+0 / 9 AM PST and 11PM UTC / 3PM PST for an hour-ish.
@jonn Wait, isn't this for Richard Burns' Rally?
Have you set that up?
I tried the Rally Sim Fans distribution and it was awful.
The only time I'm definitely not available is 10-11 PST/ 18-19 UTC.
@groovestomp yes, I've set it up and it's amazing for me. The problem is that it uses CPU only, perhaps that's the issue. I'm usinf RSF distro as well.
@groovestomp interesting... I have a completely different feeling... Are you sure NG physics were on?
@groovestomp oh... I have an idea! You have to tell your wheel driver to limit the rotation to something like 270°. By default my G29 operates in 900° and when I first launched the sim, the wheel inputs did very little turning, making handling weird, to say the least. Then I changed operating range to 360, which was too much, then to 180, which was too little and I settled on 260 as the most reasonable range.
@jonn Slow start and I probably won't be back until after 15:00 PST,. Sundays probably won't work well unless I get an early start. 😀
But in general... family stuff happens weekends.
@groovestomp fair enogh! keep me posted in case I go to sleep late.
@jonn OK!
@jonn not at all sure. LOL.
