@groovestomp they have a very specific version of DirectX 9 required.
Also, someone on YouTube is talking about something called dgVoodoo wrapper:
@groovestomp I read about dgVoodoo. It's very promising. It basically proxies modern calls to legacy calls. If you get it work, I think you'll get the whole thing to work! i'll join the fun soon if you have further problems, but after JRC Monte due to time constraints.
@jonn No worries! You're already doing so much for my sake. 😀
I'll play around with it.
I'm still very new to configuring wine and using additional tooling with Wine like DXVK and whatnot. It's all a big black box to me. Other than Wine prefixes. I get that part.
@groovestomp back in the day we had winetricks a lot of it was combinatorics and luck :D RBR setup today feels the same.
@jonn This is like an Alice in Wonderland thing. 😅 Deeper down the rabbit hole...
I feel reasonably confident in saying that RBR requires Windows.
I swear I did the RSF install once, but every time I try now it fails to detect the various zipped packages they include as part of the installer. (Either that, or it fails to download them??)
It would be nice if I had logs to trace or something.
