wow, looks like i've missed a lot: #endeavouros has the second place on distrowatch now, it's arch-based and the philosophy of healthy minimalism? as much as i've become too lazy to do distro hopping lately, i think i _need_ to try this one.

@EndeavourOS

@tivasyk @EndeavourOS arch is really unnecessary to be honest. It was really good while we didn't have , the better 🤣

@tivasyk that said, it seems like the value proposition of @EndeavourOS isn't the tech, but rather the community, which is fair enough. Besides, you can run on it just as well if not better than me running on oligarchical . :)

@tivasyk @EndeavourOS I think, the two original papers are really good.

[2]: edolstra.github.io/pubs/phd-th

After you understand the idea, skip straight to . I personally skipped a chunk of its history of it between 2015 and 2020. These days I use the big three:

- nix with flakes
- home manager
- direnv

@tivasyk practically, I use a well-maintained script to install single user anf then this horrible ad hoc installation script to automatically install the rest: github.com/cognivore/nix-home
