I realised that I kind of don't like computer games anymore...
Maybe I'm too scared of wasting limited time on learning kind of useless skills, maybe I'm so bad at games, I don't want to see myself fail?..
What should I do, #fediverse?
@frostygoth I don't think a person like me, who still didn't catch up with their 90s video games can produce good stuff.
@jonn Sometimes it's not so much about it being a good game as it is being a game that really gets the player involved. Take among us. It looks terrible, but is easy to pick up and put down and it's only fun because of the social aspect of interacting with a group when you can rarely trust anybody. *my opinion of course. I've only played it like 5 times but I still see the appeal.
But if not games, then you can always read, or learn a new skill or something.
@jonn It’s normal, you should watch some “let’s play” on YouTube like every retired gamer like us ;-)
@jonn I treat programming like a video game. First get the types to line up, then replace "undefined" with the function implementation, its like a Haskell side quest
@jonn Read about games instead of playing them. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/233221.Homo_Ludens
@jonn Create video games!
