I don't know what to think about it, but I've been attempting to find a fellow enthusiasting beginner to race against in Discord communities sized in tens of thousands. I ended up finding such person on mastodon by reading a relevant Gemini post.

Really unsure if there's a trend here, but perhaps it's because people in the small Internet tend to be more involved with... ...stuff?
