Yo @groovestomp, I did it. I have trees disappearing, but it runs with RSF.

I'm too busy to write down what I did exactly, but I've recorded it and uploading an hour and twenty two minutes video to YouTube now. 🙇

@groovestomp every time I upload a video to YouTube I feel like I exploit the exploiters. :D

@jonn 13 minutes in and ugh. So painful. 🙂
I've been through a lot of this stuff multiple times before.
Very eager to get to the end! 🙂

@jonn What was that rsync business you did to resolve the missing files during install?

@groovestomp I rsynced from an existing install. Let's see how I can share it with you.

@groovestomp ucg.cdn.doma.dev/RBR/rsf_insta I'll ping you when done. When you come up with a way to wget all the stuff from there, would you be so kind to answer to the youtube comment with the command you ran?

@groovestomp I'm starting to upload stuff to my "cdn"'. You can wget -mk from there, just make sure you remember the wget keys. Not sure what's the ETA, but soon (tm)

@groovestomp you don't know how hyped I am to drive some stages with you in RBR! I can do some codriving for the stages I wrote notes for. 🙇

Also, did you get G29 yet? 🕍

@groovestomp the synagouge should have been goggly eyes, but I decided to keep it for meme value.

@jonn G29s are apparently unavailable now!
There's a used one with e brake and shifter about 1.5 hours away. I am very tempted...

@groovestomp with what brake? Get the stock Logi tbh. The pedals are really good and brake ss stiff as heck. Re: getting a used one, I think it'd be a good idea. My old used one was working perfectly. Just make sure you can test the inputs being even and the thing not being damaged before shaking hands, I guess.

@groovestomp seems very legit. The price is in CAD, I assume. Hmm. The price is almost the same as if you would buy new, but imho it's better to have it high rather than sus low. Besides, the machinery is really sturdy all around, there's a reason it's staple.

I think that the person is legit and the listing is legit. I'd still test the input linearity before driving away. Aside from that, that's even better than what I have with my O-button.

@jonn Price is a lot higher new.
$350 CAD for the wheel and pedals. $80 for the shifter.
E brake would be at least another $70.
Not dirt cheap, but certainly a reasonable price if it all works!

@groovestomp hmm. I think it's yet another device which increases in price over time. I looked up contemporary prices and 350 CAD seems really cheap tbh.

@groovestomp well, anyway, you won't feel too awkward asking to test the input linearity then :D

@groovestomp also, after a brief search, it seems like you'll have a better experience configuring your wheel via logi drivers than us on Windows / Logitech G Hub: gamingonlinux.com/2020/02/logi
