@TheActualBrian good links. Just in case, my point was that not even 100 years ago, german cops have killed people literally by the millions. For the time being it's hard to trump it (no pun intended), but cop apologists must always remember that the quantity and quality of the institutionalised opression can very quickly become large enough to include... ...them.
Those people will never realize that.
They know what cops are doing, they want it to happen, and they think they're brothers, comrades, the same people, and they'd never come after their own.

They tend to hire only lower IQs, sometimes refusing you if you've had an IQ test.
Low IQs means very susceptible to the internal culture.
Less intelligence tends to mean bigoted.
They're hiring a lot of ex vets, who for the last 20 years were trained in urban warfare. We're "the enemy."
Oh, and 27 years ago we discovered that white supremacists were actively infiltrating the police and did nothing about it.
