If some principle is so complex that even experts find it hard to understand - how useful is it really?

@jonn I was referring to principles e.g. for software architecture. Should have been more specific, sorry.

@ewolff same thing! UML diagrams were basically our equivalent of string theory.

@jonn I don’t find them too hard to understand? Would use all of them in a single project, though.
