@eniko what? When I was a kid, most NES games were "wholesome". Whats wrong with wholesome?

@hohokam great point! I think #IdSoftware has reset gaming and we are still paying the price. I wanted to mention pre-90s gaming in my rant, including #Infocom, but there was not enough space on the margins.
@jonn yeah. I mentioned the teen thing because at the time I (like most young people) viewed "edgy" as "adult". These days I just want to relax and play a game, not pick up a second job or learn to min/max some load out.
I like shooters, but I also like UnPacking, Kitsune Tails and other games like that because, again, it's fun! I think people sometimes forget how to have fun, and what fun means!
