Just as I had to got rid of #haskell tag (in favour of #lean), sadly, I feel like it's time to get rid of #elixir tag in my bio.
I'm doing a #rust rewrite of #ZeroHR backend now and while I'm not ruminating too much over the time and money spent on #elixir backend, I find it so much cheaper and faster to write in well-typed languages.
I really hope to become profitable so that I can have a look at #PureNix + #PureErl + #PureScript combo, but I think I'm years away from such a luxury.
@jonn maybe #gleamlang is something you would like.
@leobm for me, investing in #Gleam is the same amount of effort (to me) than investing in #PurErl, but with PurErl I get the whole power of purescript type system at my fingertips and ease of extending the compiler. And portable types!
With Gleam, I tried to write compiler code but gave up (because I'm a silly goose).
None if this is a nudge against Gleam, it's very good and I would even say *correct* way to code for BEAM in 2025. It just doesn't suit my preferences at the moment!
