now that I ve lost access to #telegram and am using #matrix , I realise how vulnerable the former was.
even if I share a file to myself from phone , its encrypted for me on desktop
I need install desktop app to search anything encrypted, I can't do it from browser
tg didn't even try that
but yes I ve switched devices and know the pain of not recovering those msgs in event of losing my backup keys
