Trump is taking the stage for his joint address to Congress tonight, but things aren’t as rosy for him as they were when he first stepped back into office. His approval ratings are slipping, his tariffs just sent the stock market tumbling, and Democrats are on the attack. So, what can we expect to see tonight? The Big Picture breaks it down so you don't have to watch. thinkbigpicture.substack.com/p

@georgetakei Sorry but your entire country voted for this group of bigoted morons. Psst those 90 million who didn't vote, that's the same as voting. I have no sympathy for any of you and I hope the coming consequences are brutal and bitter.

@ononrail@mastodon.social @georgetakei@universeodon.com Of the voters, it was a nearly 50/50 split. Of the non voters, you could as easily say they voted for Harris as for Trump, not voting is...not voting.

As for not feeling sorry for us, hey, remember this will literally harm the most marginalized people the hardest, you are essentially saying fuck you to the lgbtq, black, native & POC communities, women, disabled, homeless and other marginalized populations and blaming them for something they absolutely voted against whenever they were able to.

Being smug about an event that will cause great harm to those least in a position to weather it is an evil position to take. I feel zero sympathy for the ones who are realizing they are not exempted, or, should it come to it, the ones put against the wall if they push too far.

But I absolutely feel bad for the millions who will disproportionately take the pain put upon them by others bigotry and callousness.
