Meta / Instagram: “It looks like you're trying to prevent a genocide, this goes against our platform policy of enabling them"
AI's making content moderation decisions about very real and very important topics is very dangerous to society.

@jonn I could see part of the post behind the warning, but I've seen lots of similar things being shared.

@jonn point I'm more trying to make is that very large online platforms such as Instagram and Facebook are trying to employ AI-based moderation tech that makes the final call, which almost always has biases, without humans involved in the moderation process.
The comment about it “being against our policy of enabling them" was more a jab at the fact that Facebook & Meta has a history of allowing disinformation & moderating against actual counterpoints silencing voices (see: Myanmar & others)
