(Sometimes nm-applet can't connect to a network with the same MAC but a different ESSID (for example, when you change your phone name to something else), connecting via CLI helps).

In the UK it's almost impossible to hike without ~getting hit by a car~ walking a non-trivial amount of time on a highway without a side walk.

If I had maps that show sidewalks somehow, I would be a significantly happier hiker.
