I'm infinitely privileged to have been able to attend @SlavaVK's lectures in mathematical summer school in Latvia, and infinitely grateful to him for his adamant stance to protect the children from child abuse.
I'm uploading my Advent of Code 2023 solutions in OCaml to YouTube!
Day 1, Part 1 is already published 🐫🔥
Please, support me by reposting if you want to see more! This really motivates me to keep going and continue producing educational content 🙏
The first video is the recording of my stream on Twitch.
In this video, I also provide a beginner OCaml tutorial, including:
🔰 How to set up an OCaml project with 'dune'
🔰 How to compile and run an OCaml project
🔰 Basic OCaml syntax
🔰 How to use 'utop' (an OCaml REPL)
🔰 How to use OCaml docs efficiently
🔰 How to solve algorithmic puzzles from the first try
Special thanks to my wonderful wife Kate for her support and masterful editing skills 💛
I already created a playlist with current (and all future) solutions.
And your appreciation means the world to me! 🌏
Enjoy watching and happy coding 🤗

I'm so sad that I need to post some zionist guy's content to remind hamas supporters who still follow me of common sense, but... Repeat after me: Gaza 👏 strip 👏 has 👏 a border 👏 with 👏 Egypt. The zionist guy made a clearly labeled map for y'all if Google Maps is too hard to operate.
My follow list shrinks day by day as more and more people forget about what happened on October the 7th. One thing is to oppose the way that Israel is conducting the defensive war against hamas and the other thing is to support hamas by siding with those calling for extermination of Jews. Israel is a fascist state, but fascist states also have the right to defend and trust me, bibi and his thugs won't last long at the helm anymore.
Here's something for those hamas supporters that still read me somehow.
With this full implementation of term-to-type is completed[1], thanks to #serokell's funding. Honestly, the stuff Mr. Zavialov, soon-to-be-Dr. Rogozin and others have done for #GHC over past half-decade may be quiet, but also quite impressive.
Long live #Haskell, the most level-headed option for strong typing in production.

@EugeneMcParland that's why I always keep saying that we shouldn't undersestimate russia and russians. It's just the law of large numbers that among the millions of orcs in mordor, there are some that are more savvy and smart than an above-average elf.
russia’s security service, the FSB, has compromised private phones of UK government employees and journalists to interfere with UK political processes, parliament has heard.
Foreign Office Minister Leo Docherty told MPs today that high-profile politicians and civil servants were the target of sustained attempts to interfere in UK political processes.

40 years of Turbo Pascal, the coding dinosaur that revolutionized IDEs
The legacy can still be felt today It is 40 years since Turbo Pascal revolutionized the coding marketplace with a slick (for the time) Integrated Development Environment (IDE) and performance to spare. So why aren't we all using it today?…

@TFG it's so wholesome!
Should be `nixpkgs#ats2` because `ats` is the substrate language on which #ats2 is bootstrapped.
“Appealing to the morality/ humanity of the Kremlin is an exercise in futility. Russia is not constrained by high ideals but only by its capabilities. Western discussions about forcing 🇺🇦 into a peace deal with Russia encourage Moscow to expand its offensive.”

@shanselman hm, I'm normally taking #eurostar to #Paris to see a doctor, ngl. But I guess "having healthcare" is a gradient innit.
@PeachKing90 what do you feel is proportionate response to Oct 7th?
@ladybuginthemug@infosec.exchange interesting take. I used to support palestine before Oct 7th, but practically speaking, palestinians voted for hamas and they are backed by russia and iran. So even from the standpoint of sheer pragmatism, people who care about Ukraine should support Israel's right to wage a defensive war. Not in the least because when Ukraine will be establishing DMZ in People's Republic of Belhorod, it's better to have a precedent.
@wholesomedonut big counterfeit monkey energy! Play it if you didn't yet! It's like #Portal of #InteractiveFiction by Emily Short.
@PeachKing90 I'm pretty sure it applies only to those who support palestine during this conflict, as in, after Oct 7th. After hamas is destroyed, we all will once again support independent palestine. In the meantime, please respect the countries right to wage defensive war no matter you like the countries or not. If the way you feel about Jews or Israel prevents you from doing so (I myself am not a huge fan of Israel), then you, by logic, should be against Ukrainian hits deep into russian territory or, in theory, Baltic states being able to counter-strike russia if it ever attacks.
It's war, not a "normal life", you can't stop the it with a hashtag, you can only stop it with a military action.
