@richlv is it weird that it took me like 5 seconds to understand it? Too slow? Too quick?

Hey, folks be careful what photos you are sharing because I noticed a couple of computer generated today, and just recently that is being used to manipulate your feelings and opinions...even about wars.

Make sure when you see one that causes your emotions to soar, you check the original source, don't just assume it is real .

Here's a guide to help you learn to screen photos...also an interactive article to help you practise spotting Deep Fakes.

Fun fact: I was talking with some very non-tech people today and multiple people said they switched to Firefox because of Google Chrome ruining adblock and because of them shoving AI crap into it. But, they dislike or are ambivalent about all of Firefox other than it having functional adblock and no AI crap (as do I, Firefox sucks a lot), but then half of them said they switched back to Chrome because Mozilla started releasing AI crap and didn't see why they should bother.

So all the people who say “oh Normal People either don't care about AI or actively like it and Mozilla is just trying to expand their userbase” are just lying. Once you get out of the perpetually online sphere you do see a lot fewer people vehemently against AI, but I also have never once met anyone who actually really liked it (at best people tentatively use it for a few things). And Mozilla is actively making the browser as bad as possible and pushing people who don't care about what browser they use beyond a few features away

I don't know, y'all, maybe don't use a figure that seems to be specifically designed to lure children in, and give it a name that definitely sounds like a nickname for Lucifer.

I was really pleasantly surprised by the quality of slides at this OOPSLA, particularly in the types and effects sessions! People have clearly put effort into visualizing complex metatheory, presenting concepts incrementally, and augmenting notation with color/animation (very laborious for authors, I know!)

@jonn i don't have the most fully fleshed out configuration atm since i'm using helix primarily, but there is a good list of configs using nixvim here: nix-community.github.io/nixvim

@jonn notably nvf would make what it looks like you are trying to do significantly easier: notashelf.github.io/nvf/index.

@uncenter does LSP stuff work? I couldn't see it in your config at a glance. Will move to it tomorrow if it does!

Hey, standalone crowd!

I'm searching for a config which enables LSP and installs minimal plugins for .

I thought I got it, but sadly my config seems to be broken and after a couple of evenings of debugging, I gave up.

Here is my futile attempt: github.com/cognivore/hmm/blob/

I have searched for a working config, but I failed to find one that just works for me.
