Nothing ruins my day as much as trying to work with developers that come into a project, fuck things up and then claim it's "done" and that undoing the actual fucking damage they made is "impossible" because it's already "done" and it was a good idea anyway. It might seem oddly specific, but this has happened several times, with multiple people, and yes, before all the copilot garbage appeared (that would be a good explanation for this behavior).

I know FOSS maintainers deal with this shit all the time. But a FOSS maintainer can just reject a merge at least (and should). I have to go to the client and explain that 1) it's a sunk cost 2) it will increase much more than they think 3) it will still be sunk cost at the end of it 4) it fucking stresses me out and prevents actual work, 5) remind that the only reason this came into existence is because i was too slow on my own 6) repeatedly say i'm sorry about that, but this isn't helping 7) uptake an increased amount of nicotine.

I know reddit folks love a "malicious compliance" story, but i'm not your "asshole boss", you fuckwit, you don't need to stick it to me or compete with me. If I wanted to "stick it to" someone, I'd hand over the project to you and wait for the call to come back at a higher hourly rate.

4. The Resistance has been so vocal at town halls that the GOP had to officially instruct Republican congressmen to stop doing them.

5. This administration hasn't been able to make a single tariff stick for longer than 3 days because of all the fallout.

You. Are. Powerful.

They expected you to just put your head down and roll over and do nothing. Instead you resisted. You fought back. You showed up. And you continue to show up.

You're showing up for education. For veterans. For trans folk. For women. For immigrants. For people of color. For free speech. For international allies. You're showing up for what's right and you're refusing to obey fascism in advance.

And what's more, there is no coordinated response among the elected officials, judges, and appointed GOP heads. They're floundering. All of them. They weren't expecting this. And they have no idea what to do about it.
