@aroom the development team is toxic, main instance is toxic, lemmygrad is promoted at a 2 click distance from their github page. Further, if mastodon.social was ran, say, by lemmy people, I would *absolutely* advocate for whatever alternative there would be to a twitter-like activitypub backend!

I think that Reddit is, sadly, not better than Reddit. But also Reddit was kinda weird. I've always tried to minimize my presence there. Remember /r/watchpeopledie? What sort of twister mofos would be content with that on their fave platform. Always felt like 4chan for normies, and after the corporate takeover, I don't even know what it is. An ad? 😂

Imagine working as a #UX designer on that. How do they live with themselves? I'm not saying it's horrible as one can, say, program prigožin's bot farms, but it's surely depressing to make things that make world worse, not better.

@nrcha at the time when I tooted, I thought that they billed me for January because I cancelled after the billing window.

Another idea was that they kept my card on record and billed me by mistake.
