Cute thread with cool people (and me): https://astrodon.social/@_astronoMay/109299372602273039
I absolutely can't describe the amount of positive emotions mastodon is giving me these days, in the wake of very suspicious news in regards to the western support for Ukraine.
I hope that there's going to be some clarity and commitment by the West soon, and I hope that we in the West will keep doing everything we can to telegraph our governments that we demand more support for #Ukraine, not less.
Then I'll be happy all around.
Welcome to all the #twittermigration folks!
Please read this amazing thread by Christine. A maker, a visionary and a great woman I am so honored to read in my mastodon feed... Which she helped make a reality.
Oh my gawd, @kathygriffin is in the house!
Gotta love how the "twitter" link in the bio leads to the mastodon page! Rock on!
40% of the polled germans believe that russia was forced to invade Ukraine due to a threat of NATO expansion.
This is plain false, given that it understandably triggered NATO expansion.
Friends in the West, please, don't fall for russian propaganda. Please, educate yourself about the situation in Ukraine. Remember, no world war was named "world war" before the fact. The more you support russia, the more likely it is that you're going to have to resort to food stamps in three years.
https://daily.bandcamp.com/lists/clean-singing-metal-list this post with a bit cringe name lists some interesting contemporary bands. #Messa, for instance, is more of "the next Black Sabbath" than "the next #Dio", but perhaps both.
Good blog post, the bands there aren't singing about dragons, demons and other fantasy characters like Jesus. Up my alley.
#rage has a bit cringe and trashy lyrics. But album #soundchaser is an amazing conceptual album that, again, tells a story.
The vocalist's range isn't quite tenor, but it's clean, which is not something one can often find in the genre.
A band whose singer comes close is #dreamevil. Dream Evil's #dragonslayer is just marginally cringe power metal album with good story telling and a concept.
Vivid and nice.
#timeboxing update: was 9 minutes late from the first intensive box to the chill box dedicated to breakfast and relaxed thinking / processing of rebuilt context. A bit sad, but ok. Will have an intensive 3h45' box coming up with a lot of coding!
Still, feels underachievey.
Wish me luck.

#Godot4 beta 4 is out, officially this time!
There are a handful of cool new features, but most importantly hundreds of bugfixes!
The other #GodotEngine maintainers were relatively conservative with their merges while I was on holiday ;)

Updates on my FOSS projects:
- Visual editor for compound graph datasets is now much more robust. Supports undo/redo, multi-select etc: https://codeberg.org/nilesh/grapher
- LearnAwesome.org has migrated to the new serverless architecture. It's now a single page app with no external database, user accounts or ActivityPub support etc. Users' bookmarks will be stored in browser's localStorage. Being Javascript-only, it is easier to package for offline use and to contribute: https://github.com/learn-awesome/learndb
@jonn Well, this is almost finished now: https://github.com/learn-awesome/learndb
Haven't yet put IPFS identifiers because Libgen db isn't easy to find. But link to libgen should work and can even be packaged as a MacOS app.

In my non-existent free time I design and run #TTRPG
