Musk's Saudi-government-funded "free speech" Twitter now considers "cis" a slur that can be punished by suspension of the account.

Just a reminder that journalists are directly supporting his extremism by pouring their work into his site. And advertisers (including some media companies) are even more directly supporting his extremism.

I have my own hypocrisies, but helping Musk poison our public discourse is not one of them.

Remember kids, .

Had a fun day with virtual cardboard today! Honeslty, game designers are releasing a banger after a banger ever since .

Two trophies, going infinite, donating draft entries to instead.

I just watched this tragic yet truly inspirational documentary about Aaron Swartz - creator of RSS, Creative Commons, and Markdown, (three things I use daily) as well as the activist for #OpenAccess and #InternetFreedom who took down the SOPA bill. This is the kind of dedication that is so rare and yet so important for us to move forward as a society.

Okay so hear me out, crew of . Here's a combo for you.

Orc Army attacks with the Trebuchet, triggering the Ballistic Boulder appearing tapped and attacking. Before damage, sacrifice Gollum with Grima. The ring tempts you. Now you can select the Ballistic Boulder as your Ringbearer.

I don't know why, but I feel like it's a flavour win. It's absolutely something the One Ring would do to get back to Sauron!

@alexanderniki @jonn There’s one in development they’re currently calling “Artemis,” that’s modeled after @christianselig ‘s awesome Apollo app for Reddit on iOS. It’s entering beta now.

Sorry about the lack of avatar and such - literally just created my account. 😬

Just in case someone didn't notice me saying this, but the easiest way to not use is to use .

So if you don't want to fork to deploy it, use .

I was saying things like this before, feels like it needs to be restated :)

Old #Kindle, model D01100. Small smear in the LCDs, doesn’t render even a letter illegible.

I have a newer Kindle. My old one collects dust.

Sell it? Maybe get $5.

But, I’d happily trade it for a guarantee it goes to someone who loves to read, especially a child.

Any suggestions, I’m much obliged. The trade could be over a beer and stories. I’d love that.

Please boost. The more who see this, the better to share a love of #reading. I’m in SE PA, US.

Just fucking stop using , holy shit. If you deploy it, fork it!

It's made and its code base is maintained by actual tankies. See fediversetips for a reference.

Also whois lemmygrad.

I'm very glad that I'm not the only person who tears down the posters of commies in !

I read a toot (I hate this word) from someone recently exhorting people to “star” more toots, more often. I am not going to do that. In fact, since I’ve mostly moved over to Mastodon, I’ve made it a point NOT to star things unless I really wanted to save them. Instead, if I want to acknowledge something someone posted, I will respond and say so directly. I will not short hand it via the star button. The star button, as the like button, and other similar devices, is a lie.

"This is about saving cities. Without commuting office workers, the office buildings go empty, they become worth a fraction of their cost, and retail cannot survive."

God it's depressing that people believe this is the true nature of downtowns.

Cities predate commutes. The hollowed out core that triples in population, swelled to bursting with bored and unhappy suburbanites during work hours, is a modern abomination made possible by cars and structural racism.

What's killing downtowns is that we spent so long on this awful vision of work and spent half a century strangling inner city infrastructure to subsidize incredibly expensive suburban lifestyles.

Want to make downtowns viable again? Convert dead office space to apartments and schools and colleges and other spaces people can work *and* live in.

Good luck with your rezoning applications though.
