@Sammael99 sorry! The joke is very very...
...drumroll...
shallow.

@Sammael99 sorry! I tried to type the book name in, but the autocorrect decided otherwise.

@Sammael99 we need a "les Maris pa sagnet pas anger" iceberg meme.

@yrashk btw, is there a way you could share the 300 usd fundraiser for 178 platoon of 121 brigade of fire support with Canadian networks for support.

@TodayInTwitter @nick_tune oh my, imagine all the firing and rehiring that's about to commence!

The final 2 chapters of my book Architecture Modernization have been published!

- Chapter 14: Data Mesh revolutionizing data engineering

This was written by Data Mesh extraordinaire Jean-Georges Perrin. I'm extremely grateful to him.

- Chapter 17: Learning and upskilling

Some people say that learning and upskilling is the most important part of modernization. This chapter includes wonderful stories from @yellowbrickc , @roundcrisis, and Timber Kerkvliet.

@yrashk talking to a hired devrel expert. :D

To be honest, I think that UX sells and problem solving makes the customer return. So I'd use the common principles of marketing for devrel and would be very aggressive with pushing the parts of the code I develop as far as possible.

If we're talking about the community building, it's the same principle. First make them want to contribute by having a good docs / easy ci, then make them stay by upstreaming their stuff.

I'm trans, and looking for employment outside of Texas.

If you're hiring, or know someone hiring in IT, I currently do campus technician, computer repair, and some Intune work. Able to learn, and willing to study.

I'm capable of logistics work as well, and spent years as a hazardous material handler and inspector. I have experience transporting all classes including 1.1. Experience with GATES, documentation, planning, and classified procedures.

I have maintenance experience working on small aircraft.

I have some Linux experience, and can script basic tasks. I host my own website and cloud.

If the position is work from home, I can start in two weeks, if I need to move, 2 months, or sooner with a relocation package.

🧵🗺️I'll make this a thread of my hand-drawn or hand-modified titles and title banners, mostly for maps.

I'll try to post one per day in a (hopefully) chronological order.

@benjamineskola agreed. Trying really hard not to plug my post, but I argue there that for practical definitions, 's portability hits the sweet spot if we use a subset of it (which is still broader than ).

Watched 24 morning news just now.
Determinate statements in the news line. A ton of footage. Gladly, also an interview with aerospace engineers.

But overall, that's the effectiveness of propaganda. They manage to spread the disinformation far and wide and get Western reporters report on it assertively.

@htothedip@fosstodon.org @neonbubble

The only kind of diversity we had was emergent. When the party needs something, you will do it, no matter sex or gender.

Engineering seem to have been completely male-dominated (at least 10 : 1).
Cybernetics seem to have been not less than 5 : 1 male-dominated.
Mathematicians seem to have been not less than 3 : 1 male-dominated.

And I'm being very generous with the estimates because of small data set and presumptuous model.

@htothedip@fosstodon.org @neonbubble so I guess that the commies say that the only way to achieve equally good living for all the people is to make all the people the same in a totalitarian meatgrinder. But hey, in the end you'll get universal income for 70 odd years! 🤣

But yeah, I guess my point is that we can and must do better under . Both sustainability-wise *and* income-wise for population.

@htothedip@fosstodon.org @neonbubble I mean, it's all about baselines. Like universal basic income would be really cool and I'm puzzled as for why is it not implemented in social-oriented countries like Germany, Canada.

is doing well in that regard: voanews.com/a/east-asia-pacifi / basicincome.org/

@neonbubble @htothedip@fosstodon.org interesting. I have a feeling like I get along with many peope really well, but then again I advocate for and may or may not participate in direct action which is very in line with some of what anarchists, for one, are doing or dreaming about.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I think that this is our superpower — being able to unite groups with different values for the shared cause. This follows almost immediately from the definition of centrism!

@htothedip@fosstodon.org assuming you understood the person correctly, I suggest remembering who suggested that and never ever listen to them again.

Reason: scripts are *not portable at all*. is at least somewhat portable because most of computers have python in their system dependencies.

is fringe (as is) and a lot of the magic of is replicated with .

Anyhow... I find that the optimum portability for me is writing stuff in .

@htothedip@fosstodon.org @neonbubble ah, I understand. I honestly just go for it these days. A lot of far left people are commies and while I was tolerating them before the beginning of the full-scale invasion of russians into , I've started calling them out about , and all the other "good stuff" soviets have done.

Hilarity, normally, ensues.

I figured that life is too short to be afraid of stinking communists!
