Making a properly functioning F-Droid repository for #Lagrange was a bit more challenging than anticipated.

I never met Aaron afaik. However many of my friends were very close to him.
I do think that Aaron would want his name and actions to be used in a way to fight for the freedoms he did, but he shouldn't have had to die for it, and I'm sensitive to how painful it is for loved ones.

Aaron's face gets thrown around the internet to prop up campaigns and etc, but it's important to remember that Aaron was an activist for digital rights, and was bullied into suicide by a system that wanted to punish him for his activism. He was also a human being with friends and family who loved him dearly.

I set up an F-Droid repository for the #Lagrange alpha/beta testing:

Configuring this was a bit of an adventure, but it seems to work now?

Currently it has the latest build (1.10a3) that you may already have installed. Let's see how well this works once I post a new build at some point.

If every toy programming language integrated nicely with OS package managers instead of hand rolling their own language specific package manager then things like leftpad and the more recent npm issue would be a lot less likely to occur.

I think new generations are intimidated by existing systems and reinvent them.

Starting back up working on the Small Web after working on native elementary OS apps for the past three/four months and it feels weird picking up from where I left off… thank goodness past me documented everything he had planned in the readme. I guess it’s just up to present me to learn everything he knew again and implement it :)
